Gabala State Vocational Training Center hosted an event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of People`s Republic of Azerbaijan. Speaking at the event with an introduction speech, Azad Mammadov, director of the Educational Center, said the 28th of May enchased the chronicle of statehood of the Azerbaijani people with golden letters. Emphasizing that People`s Republic of Azerbaijan founded on May 28, 1918, is a triumph of commitment to democratic traditions, spirit of freedom, respect and appreciation for the rights and freedoms of people and nations, along with being a glorious page in the statehood traditions of our people, Azad Mammadov brought to attention that the national leader Heydar Aliyev took the important step towards keeping the traditions of the People`s Republic alive by waving our three-color flag again. He emphasized that independence, statehood traditions founded on the time of the People`s Republic, were continued thank to the National Leader`s profound intelligence, prescient policy, and at the end of the 20th century, our country found its place as an independent and sovereign state in the international arena. He stated that the President Ilham Aliyev signed an order on the celebration of the 100th anniversary of People`s Republic of Azerbaijan and this order is a clear example of the care to our statehood traditions, history and national identity. Later, Jamal Rasulov, the deputy director of the center, spoke about the 23-month activity of People`s Republic of Azerbaijan, and Bakhtiyar Gasimov, the head of the MTY, informed the event participants about the army building in the People`s Republic. At the end of the event, a video clip dedicated to the 100th anniversary of People`s Republic of Azerbaijan was demonstrated.
