The Day of Healthcare Professionals was celebrated.

An event was held in the Central Region Hospital on the occasion of the Day of Healthcare Professionals. Opening the event, the head doctor of the central hospital Sabir Bayramov said that the healthcare system of the independent Azerbaijan Republic is the same age as the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, the 100th anniversary of which was celebrated this year. June 17, just 20 days after the creation of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic on May 28, 1918, in accordance with the decree of the Council of Ministers of the ADR, the Ministry of Health was established. By the order of June 4, 2001, the Great Leader, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev, who considered the present independent Azerbaijan Republic as the successor of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, June 17 is celebrated as the Day of Healthcare Professionals. Sabir Bayramov noted that the great leader Heydar Aliyev, during the Soviet period when he governed Azerbaijan, did a very important work for the development of public health in the republic. After gaining independence of the homeland, ensuring people's health was one of the main tasks undertaken by the great leader. A worthy successor of the great leader, The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, successfully continues the grandiose projects initiated by the genius leader in the field of healthcare, as a result, Azerbaijan has become a country with a powerful potential in this field. The healthcare system of Azerbaijan is provided with personnel meeting the standards of public health of the modern developed world, all kinds of equipment, high-quality material and technical base. The head physician spoke in detail about the measures taken to further improve the healthcare system in the region, the projects that will be implemented in this field in the future. At the end of the event, a group of healthcare workers who distinguished themselves in providing medical services to the population were presented with certificates of honor from the management of the central hospital.
