The 100th anniversary of the Azerbaijani police and July 2 - the Police Day was celebrated in Gabala region.

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Azerbaijani police and July 2 - the Police Day, law enforcement officers of the Gabala region arrived in the park in the central square of the city, bearing the name of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, laid flowers to the monument to the national leader. Then a meeting was organized in the assembly hall of the region police department. At the event, the Head of the Region Police Department, police colonel Nadir Mammadov congratulated the police on the occasion of the Police Day, noted that since the establishment of the Azerbaijani police, it is vigilantly guarding our statehood and legality, its merits in protecting the rights of citizens, strengthening public order. In his turn, stressing in his speech the formation of the national police in Azerbaijan due to the care of the National leader Heydar Aliyev, turning it into a flexible structure as one of the foundations of our statehood, he noted the continuous growth of the police professionalism in realizing the tasks set by the esteemed President, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, all its strength for the convenience of citizens. Abil Aghasafov, First Deputy Head of the Gabala Region Executive Power, the regional prosecutor Magsad Orujov, who participated in the event, stressed that during the years of the reign of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, the Azerbaijani police received much attention and care, and now the police officers are adequately assessed by the Head of State Ilham Aliyev. It was noted that the Azerbaijani police in our country is a reliable guarantor of protection of public order, security and stability. The veterans of the police who took part in the event conveyed their congratulations on the occasion of the significant day, reported that the merits of the guardians of order in ensuring stability in the republic, in combating crime are exceptional. In conclusion, for the distinguished police service the regional police department, veterans of the police were awarded diplomas and certificates of honor, valuable gifts.
