Visit of the participants of the tour-action to Gabala continues.

The pupils of Aghdash, Fuzuli, Goygol, Siyazan and Tovuz regions, who came to our region within the educational tour-action held under the slogan of “Let’s know our country”, became acquainted with the production facilities, historical spaces and places of interest here on November 19. Firstly the participants of the tour-action were in Heydar Aliyev Centre and looked at the photos reflecting the life and activity of Great Leader. Then the pupils came to “Gilan Food Town”. The participants of the tour-action were informed that cannery, production facilities of cooling beverages and potato crisps operate within the town. While becoming acquainted with “Tufandag” Winter Summer Tourism Holiday Complex, the pupils were said that the complex is one of the attractive objects for tourists. The complex can serve for 3 thousand people during the day. Here 4 rope lines and 10 ski ways operate. Total length of the rope lines is 6 kilometre and one of ski way is 17 kilometre. Acquaintance with Heydar Aliyev Congress Centre made the pupils glad, as well. There is the multifunctional and 1200-seat conference hall in the centre and it can turn into plane form when armchairs are lowered. In late afternoon the participants of the tour-action were in “Chotari” Alban-Udi Church in the Nij settlement. It was informed that the church is one of the ancient monuments in terms of history. Nij settlement is considered as the small model of tolerance of Azerbaijan. There are three churches and two mosques in the settlement. 3700 Udi people live in the settlement of which population is six thousand. They maintain their language and tradition for 2500 years. The pupils went to Gabala Historical and Cultural Reserve and became acquainted with ruins of ancient Gabala city that was the capital of Caucasian Albania for 9 centuries and the results of the archaeological excavations done in the territory, as well as material and cultural examples displayed in Gabala Archaeological Center. The pupils were given detailed information about the rich history of Gabala that is one of the most ancient cities of Azerbaijan.
