Organized a media tour to the Gabala Region Central Hospital.
The Ministry of Health organized a media tour to the Gabala Region Central Hospital (RCH). Journalists and media representatives first toured the RCH and got acquainted with the conditions created there. There are 12 health posts and 1 rural hospital in the region. There are 120 doctors and 365 nurses in the regional central hospital with 160 beds and 8 departments. As the Gabala region is a tourist destination, about 5 hectares have been allocated for the construction of a new building of the Central Hospital. The 6-storey new hospital building is planned to be commissioned in 2020. During the Mediatur period, it was reported that the hospitals in the regions would create enormous opportunities for the transition to a problematic compulsory health insurance scheme starting from 2020. Along with the hospital, the Gabala District Treatment and Diagnostic Center operates in the region. There are 4 surgical operation blocks in the center. One of them is reserved for patients with hepatitis, and one for ENT (ear, nose, throat) disease and two for general surgical procedures.
