Khojaly tragedy is our bloody memory.
An event dedicated to the 27th anniversary of the Khojaly genocide took place in the house-museum of Ismail Bey Gutgashinli. During the meeting detailed information was provided about the bloody events committed by the notorious enemy - the former Soviet army in Khojaly on the night of February 25-26, 1992 using armored vehicles and military personnel of the 366th motorized rifle regiment. It was noted that as a result of the genocide against our people, 613 people, including 106 women, 63 children and 70 elderly people, were brutally killed, 8 families were completely destroyed, 25 children lost both parents and 130 children lost one of their parents. On the night of the tragedy, 1,275 civilians were captured, the fate of 150 people is still unknown. It was noted that the legal-political assessment of this tragedy was first given after the return of national leader Heydar Aliyev to power in Azerbaijan. Speakers at the meeting stressed that Armenians had committed bloody crimes on our lands, shed innocent blood and stressed the need to convey to the world community detailed information about these facts.
