The "Knowledge" competition, dedicated to the Republic Day - May 28th, was held.
On May 24, 2019, in the assembly hall of the Gabala city senior secondary school No.1, with the organization of the Department of Youth and Sports, a “Knowledge” competition was held among the Gabala city full secondary schools dedicated to “May 28th - Republic Day”. In the "Knowledge" competition, in accordance with the rules, pupils of IX-XI classes of senior secondary schools took part in the team competition. The knowledge contest covered the Azerbaijani language, literature, history, mathematics, geometry, geography, physics, biology, and chemistry. Questions were prepared by the jury and provided in writing to the teams; one of the team members answered the question in writing. At the awarding ceremony, Fakhri Soltanov, Head of the Department for Youth and Sports, congratulated the participants on the Republic Day - May 28th, said that the purpose of the competition is to educate the younger generation in the spirit of respect for the statehood, history of the people of Azerbaijan, state symbols, and at the same time, increase the intellectual level among students, their knowledge and skills. According to the results of the points scored, the team of the Gabala city senior secondary school No.2 was awarded the 1st place, the team of the Gabala city senior secondary school No.1 - the 2nd place, and the team of the Gabala city senior secondary school No.3 - the 3rd place. At the end of the competition, the winners were awarded (I, II, III places), and the diplomas and cups of the Youth and Sports Department were awarded to distinguished teams.
