Representatives of the German Bundestag met with IDPs in Gabala.

A delegation led by a member of the German Bundestag from the Social Democratic Party, Chairman of the Germany-South Caucasus parliamentary group Johannes Kahrs visited the residential area established for 195 displaced families in the Zaragan municipality of the Gabala region. Rovshan Rzayev, Chairman of the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs, informed the guests about the residential area, provided with the necessary technical infrastructure. Speaking about the comprehensive reforms carried out in our country and the socio-economic successes achieved, the chairman of the committee stressed that the Azerbaijani state, President Ilham Aliyev personally, pay special attention to solving the problems of refugees and internally displaced persons, therefore a specific program is being implemented; First Vice-President Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva cares about improving the living conditions of citizens of this category, the construction of new residential areas for them, employment and health issues. It was noted that the guests met with the internally displaced people living in the village, got acquainted with the school for 188 students operating here and got acquainted with the course of the English lesson in one of the classes. German deputies who visited the apartment of one displaced family talked with its members. The head of the delegation, Johannes Kahrs, said that he supports the territorial integrity of all countries, including Azerbaijan. Speaking about the importance of strengthening bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Germany, the guests highly appreciated the special attention paid to the German heritage in Azerbaijan. In addition, it was said that the work done by the state to improve the living conditions of refugees and IDPs in our country is commendable.
