June 29, 2017 in the city of Gabala, the results of the VII International Competition "Young Rescuer" and VIII All-Republican Championship "Young Rescuer and Firefighter", organized by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Azerbaijan Republic with the support of the Trade Union of Workers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Ministries of Education, Youth and Sports, as well as the Gabala Region Executive Power were summed up. Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Lieutenant-General Etibar Mirzoyev, Chairman of the Emergency Situations Workers Union Mehman Ismailov, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Intigam Babayev, Deputy Minister of Education Firudin Gurbanov and Head of the Gabala Region Executive Power Sabuhi Abdullayev took part in the award ceremony in the Congress Center named after Heydar Aliyev. At the event, which started with the national anthem, the Emergencies Ministry showed a prepared video. After that, at the event, which continued with the artistic part, the winners were awarded cups, diplomas, certificates of merit and valuable gifts, while other participants received certificates of merit and souvenirs. Note that the teams competed at the “Obstacle Course”, “Combined Fire Relay”, “Search and Rescue”, “Team Presentation” and “Bulletin-board newspaper” stages. The first place in the international competition was taken by Azerbaijan, the second place - - Belarus, and the third - Georgia. In the national championship the first place was taken by the team of School No. 43 of Sumgayit, the second - by the Shamakha team, the third place - by the team from the Ujar region. Also, the team of the boarding school for children with disabilities No. 2 of the city of Baku was awarded.
