The Gabala International Music Festival, which was founded in 2009 and has recently taken a worthy place on the world music map, is going to meet with art lovers for the 11th time. This time the festival, which has won the prestige of foreign and local musicians and turned into a good tradition, will be held from July 31 to August 5. Along with Azerbaijan, famous musicians and performers from different countries will take part in the Gabala Festival. In addition to classical music, evenings of mugham, vocals and chamber music will be organized during the festival. This year, famous singers and groups from such countries as Russia, the USA, Hungary, Turkey, Italy, Georgia, China, Ukraine, as well as musical groups of Azerbaijan are invited to the music festival. On July 31, the Student Symphony Orchestra of the U.Hajibeyli Baku Academy of Music will give the first concert of the festival. Soloists Taleh Yahyaev (baritone), Nigar Jafarova (soprano), Mahir Taghizade (baritone), Rasul Aliyev (flute), Nazrin Aslanli (violin), Safura Aslan (vocal) and Mahammadali Pashazade (clarinet) will perform at a concert conducted by Javad Pashazade the compositions by Azerbaijani and world composers. On August 1, a solemn opening ceremony of the festival will be held. The performance of the U.Hajibeyli Azerbaijan State Symphony Orchestra is expected at the ceremony. On the same day, People’s Artists Ulviyya Hajibayova (piano) and Yegana Akhundova (piano) conducted by the Honoured Art Worker, Professor Fakhraddin Karimov will appear on the stage. Like every year, this year's festival program will also be rich and interesting.
