Gabala farmers grow 75 hectares of tobacco this year.

This year, tobacco was planted in an area of 75 hectares on the farms of the Gabala Region. This season, Gabala farmers cultivate the Virginia variety on 5 hectares, and local tobacco varieties on 70 hectares. For several days, farms have begun collecting tobacco. In the first few days, farmers have gathered and stringed on a rope 4 tons of green tobacco leaves. As in previous years, Gabala farmers again chose to grow local varieties of tobacco this year. In the coming days, collection of Virginia tobacco will begin. We recall that last year Gabala farmers grew tobacco on 75 hectares and produced up to 99 tons of dry tobacco.
