Clarte Clarinet Quartet performed at the Gabala International Music Festival.
On August 4, as part of the XI Gabala International Music Festival, another concert program was presented to music lovers in the chamber hall of the Heydar Aliyev Congress Centre. This year, talented young performers and the Azerbaijani Clarinet Quartet Clarte became guests of chamber music lovers. In the first part of the concert, the audience listened to the works of Azerbaijani and Western European composers performed by pianists Fagan Hasanli, Svetlana Ahmadova, flutists Nijat Salmanov, Amina Zulfugarova, cannunist Natavan Hasanova, soloists Adil Akhundov (tenor) and Taleh Yahyayev (baritone). Then the Clarte Clarinet Quartet appeared on the scene. The team was created in 2016 at the initiative of the People’s Artist Shukur Samadov. The artistic director of the quartet is Anar Mammadov. Since its inception, the quartet, consisting of talented clarinetists Mammad Rajabli, Emil Baghirov, Mahammadali Pashazade and Anar Mammadov, has participated in many events and won the audience’s favour. The concert featured the works Russian Rag by G.L. Cobb, Roads by Vagif Mustafazade, Zibeyda by Tofig Guliyev and American feeling by I.Volante. The quartet was accompanied by Jeyhun Aliyev on the piano and Ramiz Sevdimaliyev on drums.
