Since ancient times, carpet weaving has been one of the main areas of employment in Gabala, located in the north-west of Azerbaijan. Weavers living in Gabala enriched the Shirvan carpet weaving with their weaving traditions. Taking all this into account, one of its branches operates in the Gabala region. The building, built with great taste, gives the area a special charm. The branch building, built according to a single project, has created modern working conditions for the efficient work of weavers. Currently, the branch has about 60 weavers. The main activity of the branch is weaving Azerbaijani carpets of the Shirvan group. So far, 570 square meters of carpets have been woven here. The team pays special attention to the production of quality products. The carpets that are produced here are exported to the world market. The company produces wool and pile carpets. Carpet ornaments are prepared by carpet-makers-artists. Within the working period of the branch, 170 carpets were woven. The largest carpet woven in the workshop was 24 square meters. The branch employs both middle-aged and young people. Consistent measures are being taken to enhance the professionalism of young weavers working here. For them, training courses and master classes are held.
