A training entitled “Training on Gender and Leadership Issues” took place.
Since 2012, the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs, together with the German Society for International Cooperation, has been implementing the “Supporting Mentoring Program” to increase women's participation in public life and promote even more gender-based local governance in Azerbaijan. As a continuation of the project, the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs held a training event at the Heydar Aliyev Center in the Gabala region. The event was attended by deputy chief executives of the Gabala and Oguz regions, as well as members of the departments for analysis and forecasting of socio-political and humanitarian, social and economic development. At an event entitled “Training on Gender and Leadership Issues”, employees of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs Aynur Veysalova and Aytakin Hajiyeva shared their views on this topic with the participants. The event provided detailed information on the programs implemented in the country in the field of gender policy, and discussed ways to further strengthen the role of women in public life. The event was held in the form of dialogue.
