The regional conference on the topic "Socio-economic goals of sustainable development" was held in Gabala region.

With the joint organization of the Council of Elders of the Republic, the Gabala Region Executive Power and "Azerbaijan" newspaper, the Qafqaz Resort hosted a regional conference on the topic "New Reforms of President Ilham Aliyev: Socio-Economic Goals of Sustainable Development". Initially, participants in the event visited the monument to the great leader Heydar Aliyev in Gabala and laid flowers. The conference was attended by elders and youth from 15 cities and regions of the republic. Chairman of the Council of Elders of the republic, MP Fattah Heydarov, who spoke at the event, noted that in order to implement the national ideology, the foundation of which was laid by the great leader Heydar Aliyev, successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev, regular meetings with youth are organized and discussions are held with them on the topic of patriotism. He gave examples from the glorious life of the elders. The deputy noted that the Azerbaijani people always highly honor the word of the elders and gather closely around them. Then, the head of the Gabala Region Executive Power Sabuhi Abdullayev, the chief editor of "Azerbaijan" newspaper, the deputy of the Milli Majlis Bakhtiyar Sadigov, the chairman of the Committee of the Milli Majlis, academician, deputy chairman of the Republican Council of Elders Ahliman Amiraslanov, corresponding member of ANAS, deputy chairman of the Republican Council of Elders Sudeyif Imamverdiyev spoke at the conference. The speakers noted that the creation in Azerbaijan of the tradition of protecting independent statehood is associated with the name of the great leader Heydar Aliyev, and the modernization and further strengthening of the state, the rapid development of the national economy - with the name of President Ilham Aliyev. It was noted that over the past 16 years, under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, the process of economic construction in our country has gained wide scope, as a result of new reforms, all areas have begun to develop and achieved successful. It was told at the conference about the work being done to improve the social well-being of Azerbaijani citizens, increase pensions and wages in the country, reforms in the field of healthcare, education, entrepreneurship, industry, road infrastructure, tourism, and the socio-economic development of the regions as a whole and the facts about indicators of success were voiced.
