The area for sugar beets in the region has more than doubled.

Collection of sugar beets started on the farms of the region. This year, landowners planted sugar beets on an area of 192.4 hectares. The sown area increased 2.1 times compared to last year. To date, farmers have harvested 140 tons of sugar beets from the fields. The goods are delivered to the Imishli Sugar Factory. In 2018, farmers in the region cultivated sugar beets on 92 hectares and received 1,875.1 tons of the crop. On average, 203.8 centners of products was collected from each hectare.
