"Zopu-zopu" ethnographic folklore dance ensemble will perform at the closing ceremony of the traditional Republican Folklore Festival.
In order to support the folklore groups operating in the capital and regions of our republic, in September-October 2019, the qualifying stage of the traditional Republican Folklore Festival was held. As part of this stage, a competition was organized to identify and support talented children's folklore groups. In order to evaluate the teams, a jury consisting of employees of the ministry, as well as well-known representatives of the art of the republic, has been determined. The teams that successfully performed at the qualifying stages were invited to the closing ceremony in Baku. The closing ceremony of the festival will be held on November 1 at the Azerbaijan State Academic Musical Theater. Before the event starts, a march (parade) of the groups will take place from the Azerbaijan State Puppet Theater along Nizami Street to the Azerbaijan State Academic Musical Theater at 10:00-11:00. At the closing ceremony, along with many folklore groups performing in the country, the “Zopu-zopu” ethnographic folklore dance ensemble, representing the Gabala region, will perform.
