Ilham Aliyev got acquainted with the conditions created after the reconstruction at "Gabala" electric substation.

Gabala electrical substation of 110/35/10 kV was put in commission in Gabala region on October 28.
The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, got acquainted with the conditions created after the reconstruction at the substation.
The acting chairman of "Azerishig" OJSC, Vugar Ahmadov, said that two new 110/35/10 kV transformers with the power of 40 MVA were installed at the substation, thereby the power at the substation was increased and brought up to 80 MVA. Thanks to the reconstruction of the substation, it was possible to change the connection diagrams of the electricity transmission power lines. Thus, the reliability of the 110 kV circular power supply diagram between "Sheki" Power Station, "Agsu" and "Agdash" tie station was increased. In Gabala region, the power supply to 21,375 subscribers, including 20,112 subscribers of the "Population" group and 1,263 subscribers of the "Non-population" group, as well a number of production and infrastructure facilities was improved. The substation is equipped with electronic-type relay protection and automation systems that meet modern standards, new switchgears of 110, 35 and 10 kV are built and connected to SCADA dispatch system, which is controlled remotely.
It was noted that at present, one of the most important tasks facing us is the supply of the consumers with reliable and high-quality electricity. With this purpose, the focus is on the provision of the population with uninterrupted and sustainable electricity, the implementation of initial preventive measures for provision of irrigation systems with the power supply with the purpose of the development of agriculture, and the increase of the reliability of power supply of non-oil sector, industrial sectors and travel facilities. From this point of view, the main priorities are the application of new technologies and the material and technical base.
It was emphasized that in accordance with the orders of the head of our state, power supply of the consumers in the regions should reach the level of Baku city, a number of measures are being taken in this direction. At present, measures related to reliable, safe and useful power supply of the consumers have been widely adopted throughout our country, taking into consideration the prospective development. Also, maximum attention is paid to the widespread use in the distribution networks of information and communication technologies and management that meets the latest standards.
The President Ilham Aliyev launched "Gabala" electric substation, at the same time, 110/35/10 kilovolt "Agdash" electric substation.
We wouldlike to note that due to the expiration of "Agdash" substation, which was had put into use in 2005, it could not meet the increased needs, therefore, it was necessary to implement its reconstruction. The substation was completely reconstructed, its power was increased from 41 MVA to 50 MVA. 110 kV open switchgear was built, connected to SCADA control system. The installation of 35 kV air line at the substation and its connection to the network, the creation of circular power supply diagrams of 35 Kv of Agdash and Ujar regions will serve for the stability and reliability of electricity in these areas. In common, recently, 195 km of power transmission lines of various voltages were laid in Agdash, 3,600 columns were installed.
