An event titled "November 17 - National Revival Day" was held at the Heydar Aliyev Center of the Gabala Region.

On the occasion of the National Revival Day - November 17, the Children and Family Support Center held an event at the Heydar Aliyev Center of Gabala Region. The event was attended by representatives of the Asan Service Center, the Children and Family Support Center, regional departments and enterprises. After the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the representative of the Children and Family Support Center Himaya Ismailova in her opening speech told in detail about the National Revival Day - November 17. It was noted that today, as elsewhere in our country, November 17, the Day of National Revival, is one of the most unique events in the history of our people. On November 17, 1988, people flocked to Freedom Square in Baku to protest for the first time against the Soviet empire that kept Azerbaijan in colonial slavery for 70 years. National Revival Day holds a special place among the holidays celebrated by independent Azerbaijan at the state level. Then the director of the Children and Family Support Center Gunel Aghayeva in her speech told about the significance of the National Revival Day - November 17 as the beginning of the national liberation movement of our people. Noting that history has repeatedly proved that preserving independence is much more difficult than gaining it, she said that the Azerbaijani people had fought for their freedom and independence, and that no force could break the will of the people. She noted that in such a difficult situation, the great son of our people, the national leader and wise statesman Heydar Aliyev, with his whole being, once again proved his connection with his homeland, his people, took on this honorable and difficult mission. Today, Azerbaijan is confidently looking to the future, because the fate of our state, the foundation of which was laid by national leader Heydar Aliyev, is in good hands. The worthy successor of the great leader Heydar Aliyev, President Ilham Aliyev, is confidently leading our country to a brilliant future and new successes. At the end of the event, schoolchildren performed excerpts of verses, and a film dedicated to the Revival Day - November 17 was shown.
