An event dedicated to the State Flag Day was held at the Gabala Cultural Center.
A round table was organized at the Gabala Cultural Center dedicated to the National Flag Day. Opening the event, the consultant of the Gabala branch of the Ismayilli Regional Department of Culture Nargila Gafarova said that the State flag is one of the symbols of statehood of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The tricolor National Flag of Azerbaijan is also one of the official state symbols expressing our independence. Every citizen of Azerbaijan must respect our national flag, coat of arms and anthem and accept this as his sacred duty. Then the director of the Cultural Center, Malik Aghayev, said that on November 17, 1990, at the initiative of our national leader Heydar Aliyev, the flag of the Autonomous Republic was approved, and on February 5, 1991, by decision of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan was declared the State Flag of an independent republic. The meeting was continued in the form of a discussion.
