360 students from nine regions left Gabala with a rich impression.

The first stage of educational tour-campaigns which started this fall was successfully completed under the motto “Let’s know our country”, that took place on the recommendation of President Ilham Aliyev. During the project, on November 13, groups of schoolchildren from Lerik, Astara, Lankaran, Yardymli, Masally, Jalilabad, Bilasuvar, Khizi and Absheron, who began their excursions along the Gabala-Sheki-Zagatala route, went from Gabala to their regions after the excursions on November 16. During the tour 360 students and accompanying persons living in the Karvansaray and Gafgaz Sport hotels in the city of Gabala got acquainted with the sights, museums and historical places in Gabala, Sheki and Zagatala regions. The Gabala-Sheki-Zagatala zone, which is one of the regions that plays an important role in the country's economy, is known for its developed tourism economy, traditions of multiculturalism, as well as historical sites. Excursions to the Heydar Aliyev Congress Center in Gabala, the Winter-Summer Tourism and Recreation Complex "Tufandag", a cannery, the historical and cultural reserve Chukhur Gabala and the Albanian-Udian church "Jotari" in the village of Nij were very interested for schoolchildren. Pupils also got acquainted with modern life, history, cultural heritage, traditions and peculiar features of various regions of our country, achievements of independent Azerbaijan created by national leader Heydar Aliyev, they had a clear idea of the dynamic socio-economic development of our republic, the updated image of our cities and regions that are improving day by day thanks to the determination and will of President Ilham Aliyev. On the evening of November 15, the participants of the tour campaign once again demonstrated their knowledge and skills in the intellectual game “What?” Where? When?". According to the results of the competition, students from Lerik won the name of the winner of the intellectual game. The second and third places were taken by teams from Bilasuvar. Winners were awarded with cups, medals and certificates. Pupils from nine districts left the north-west of the country with a rich impression.
