Gabala children honored the memory of martyrs of January 20 tragedy.

The Gabala Center for the Support of Children and Families held an event dedicated to “January 20 - Day of National Sorrow” at the Heydar Aliyev Center in Gabala. The event was attended by staff of the Ismail Bay Gutgashinli House Museum, as well as pupils and teachers of the full secondary school No. 1. The event began with honoring the memory of martyrs on January 20 with a minute of silence. Social work specialist of CSCF Hokuma Ismayilova said the bloody events had been foreseen by the Soviet empire and there was no mercy for anyone. Speaking at the event, director of CSCF Gunel Aghayeva and history teacher of the full secondary school No. 1 Esmira Seyidova spoke about the crimes and atrocities committed against everyone, regardless of age, religion or age. It was also noted that during these incidents 744 people were injured, 4 people were missing, 400 people were arrested and 131 people were killed. It was noted that Azerbaijan gained independence thanks to the blood shed at that night. Children performed artistic compositions, poems, bayaty and a video was shown.
