The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan is conducting reforms in public administration.

The Head of State has always highly valued the activities of those who seek to contribute to the further strengthening of Azerbaijan and the recognition of the unique model of development of our country in the world. In his speeches, Mr. Ilham Aliyev has warned continually about the merciless fight against corruption and corrupt officials in the country, and regarding punishment of officials acting against the interests of the state and the people. The President's repeated reference to this issue is an expression of his strong position against corruption. However, despite the warnings of the Head of State, for the irresponsible attitude of some officials to their duties, they and their subordinates were brought to justice for the corruption facts. In particular, it is unacceptable to misappropriate state support owed to a citizen during a coronavirus pandemic. These issues are always at the center of Mr. President's attention. The appointment of the Head of the Anti-Corruption General Directorate to the position of the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Azerbaijan is also a demonstration of the fight against corruption in Azerbaijan. The personnel reforms implemented today serve to ensure professionalism, as well as to attract highly qualified specialists for the sustainable development of the country. Mr. Ilham Aliyev's revolutionary reforms, covering all spheres, are regarded as an update, a new approach, and an adaptation to modern conditions. They are welcomed by the people of the our country. The nature of the recent speeches of the Head of State, his statements, and the measures taken show that the fight against bribetakers and corrupt officials is not temporary, but consistent. Therefore, every official should take into account the start of the new era in the country and make adjustments to their activities. These illegal actions of people, whom the President of the country trusted by giving a high position, can't be justified. Mr. President does not and will not forgive these traitors! The reforms undertaken by the President in this area, his recommendations were directed in the online form by the Executive Power to the operating in the region departments, enterprises and organizations, territorial representative offices, municipalities, and it has been instructed to follow these recommendations.
