The reforms implemented by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, covering all the areas of public administration are going on intensively.

Legal, institutional and personnel reforms started by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, in 2018, covering all the areas of public administration, have become more widespread by the end of 2019 and are successfully going on in 2020. One of the main lines of ongoing reforms is further tightening of the fight against corruption and building of a citizen-officer relationship on more healthy principles. However, along with the successes achieved in this area, transparent activities of public servants, and sincere relations with the citizens, there are also unpleasant situations. In spite of the warnings about the prohibition of such negative situations, unfortunately, there are still those who abuse their position. And this makes it unavoidable to take criminal legal measures in accordance with the law against the persons who did not draw conclusions from the fate of a number of unmasked officers and did not make a turn in their actions. Personnel reforms, implemented by the President in recent years, confidence to young professionals and assigning them to important positions, live conversations with them, tasks given to them encourage young people to work with even more enthusiasm. And such appointments are clearly welcomed by society. Along with personnel reforms, our President is engaged in strenuous fight against the corruption. Recently, the President of the country, in a conversation with new Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan, raised this matter and specifically instructed to fight mercilessly against the corruption in the country. Each officer who allows the commission of dirty deeds, makes false promises, by receiving bribes from people, collects money instead of building their work at a level that meets the requirements of modernity, should be punished in time. This is the word of the people. In developing Azerbaijan, everyone should support this development at his/her work and contribute to it. If you are appointed to any position, it does not mean you can do anything you want. You must respect the officers at your disposal, as well the citizens, and treat your work in good faith. There is no other way. Unfortunately, some officers do not make a turn in their work. During another operation conducted by State security service on May 8, shortcomings in the work of some employees of the Ministry of culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, cases of deliberate use of their powers in opposition to official interests also were revealed. The society of Gabala region also condemns such negative cases, highly appreciates state care provided in accordance with the orders signed by the President of the country in recent years to improve the social welfare of the citizens, and believes that such measures will continue. Because resolute and courageous President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, who confidently moves on the way of development, believes in the people, trusts them and treats them with care. Our people also support the policy pursued by Mr. President, and we, as the citizens, try to fulfil the task set out to us with dignity.
