Taking into account "bitter consequences" of the coronavirus period, every entrepreneur and citizen should act transparently.

21 May 2020 | 04:00

Mr. President Ilham Aliyev is taking decisive steps in the fight against the globe-spanning coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19). Azerbaijan has taken flexible and necessary preventive measures timely to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. From this point of view, the preventive measures taken by the state, its Head, the highly respected Ilham Aliyev, prove that the direction was chosen correctly from the very beginning. The rise and development of the people of Azerbaijan has always been the prime goal and sacred task for our President within the period of his political activity. In this sense, the steps he has taken in response to the raging coronavirus, including the establishment of an Operational headquarters at the Coronavirus Response Fund and the Cabinet of Ministers in connection with measures to fight this disease, bringing medical facilities into compliance with international standards as soon as possible, commissioning modern modular hospitals in the near future, increasing the salaries of health workers, maintaining the salaries of workers unable to work during the pandemic, providing material and financial assistance to families and individuals in need, providing state support to entrepreneurs, introducing a quarantine regime for protecting public health, in particular, regular appeals to the population in this direction, were met by our people with great respect, countenance and as an example of true humanism, and once again confirmed the importance of unity for society in difficult times. President Ilham Aliyev has repeatedly stressed that the most important issue for us during the pandemic is the health of our citizens and their social protection. This goal has always been the main principle of Mr. Ilham Aliyev's activity since 2003. To overcome current difficulties, business and civil relations must be transparent as well, along with relations between citizens and officials. Taking into account "bitter consequences" of the coronavirus period, every entrepreneur and citizen should act transparently. The state's expectations from business and the population are full transparency of activities. Transparency ensures the preparedness of entrepreneur and citizen for all unexpected consequences in the future. Those who managed to see this advantage demonstrated solidarity with the Head of State. The experience with coronavirus has once again confirmed the importance of such solidarity. As the Head of State noted, "activities of state bodies only are not enough here. Business communities should also be aware of their responsibility and avoid the slippery slope, they should bring their activities from the cold...". Otherwise, the absence of an employment contract and transparent activities will turn into new life lesson for a citizen, as in the coronavirus period. With this in mind, responsibility and discipline must prevail in economic activity, and this unity must continue in the post-coronavirus period.
