Gabala schoolchildren will get acquainted with the western region of our republic within the tour-campaign.

On March 23rd a departure ceremony was held for the schoolchildren of the Gabala region going to Ganja city, Goygol and Shamkir regions within "Learning our country" project, organized for pupils of the IX-XI classes of cities and regions of our republic in accordance with the instruction of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. Speaking at the departure ceremony in Heydar Aliyev Park in Gabala, Deputy Head of the Region Executive Power Ataya Osmanova told about the significance of the campaign organized on behalf of the head of the country. It was noted that one of the main goals of the state youth policy implemented in Azerbaijan is the education of the younger generation in the spirit of love for the motherland. This is exactly what enlightenment tour-actions, conducted under the slogan "Learning our country", serve. In the speech at the ceremony, the Deputy Head of the Region Education Department Yashar Nazirov, brought to attention that the implementation of the project is of great importance for education of the country's youth in the spirit of patriotism and respect for the historical and cultural heritage, in terms of further enriching the outlook of schoolchildren. Speaking at the meeting, a pupil of the 11th form of Zaraghan village's full secondary school number 1 Dunya Rasulzada noted that she has visited many regions of the republic to date. "But in this tour-campaign, for the first time I will get acquainted with the nature, sights of Ganja city, Shamkir and Goygol regions together with my school friends. In the course of the visit we will get much information about the history, customs and traditions, development of our country." Then 40 participants of the tour-campaign laid flowers to the monument of national leader Heydar Aliyev. To organize the enlightening tour-campaign, the Region Executive Power created a headquarters. Zahir Karimov, the Head of the Information Support and Analysis Branch of the Region Executive Power, was appointed the head of the group, the students were given special clothes. The parents and schoolchildren who participated in the ceremony expressed their gratitude to the head of state Ilham Aliyev. In conclusion, the schoolchildren taking part in the tour-campaign went to the sounds of music in the direction of Ganja on a bus specially allocated for them.
