Schoolchildren from 5 regions of the Republic arrived in Gabala within the Project of “Learning our country”.
Next educational tours-campaigns with a slogan “Learning our country” has been started for the students of IX-XI forms of the city and regions of our Republic. The schoolchildren from Tovuz, Gazakh, Goychay, Dashkasan and Aghstafa regions hit the road for the tour-campaign arranged in the route of Gabala – Sheki – Zagatala – Gabala and arrived in Gabala in the second half of the day, on March 23. The representatives of Education Department and Executive Power of Region warmly welcomed the school children in front of Heydar Aliyev Center in the Gabala city and gave them information about the history, geographical position, culture and tourism potential of Gabala. After dinner, the Project participants took part in the tree-planting campaign and planted 220 trees during the visit, and went on an excursion to the sights of the region – the Nohur Lake, then the Zoo located in the village of Yengija. After the excursion the participants watched a concert program of young singers in Gabala Culture Center. Educational tour-campaign is going on.
