Closing ceremony and the last concert of the IX Gabala International Music Festival remembered with its grandiosity were held

Last week the IX Gabala International Music Festival held with the organizational support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, and with the support of Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and “Gilan Holding” turned into a real musical holiday in the country and directed the attention of the world to Azerbaijan. This festival, one of the most remarkable events in the cultural life of our country is remembered with its rich program and precious guests. The performances of the most famous musicians of the world in Gabala harmonized with its charming nature.
Closing ceremony and last concert of the IX Gabala International Music Festival which was organized in the Heydar Aliyev Congress Center on August 3 sold out. Fattah Heydarov, deputy of Milli Majlis, Chairman of the Republic Council of Elders, holder of “Shohret” (Glory) order made a speech, and emphasized that the festival is a significant event in the life of our country in the closing ceremony attended by deputies of Milli Majlis, ambassadors of foreign countries to Azerbaijan, representatives of State and Government. Fattah Heydarov expressed his gratitude to the First Vice President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO and  ISESCO Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva for organization of the festival, and noted that the festival has caused a great interest in the world.
The MP also mentioned that all this was the result of the consistent policy pursued by President Ilham Aliyev who successfully continues the political course of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, in the direction of the development of our country. Fattah Heydarov underscored that the foreign guests who participated in the concerts held within IX Gabala International Music Festival attended by the prominent musicians, performance ensembles, soloists, conductors from around 10 countries, have become more familiar with Azerbaijan. He also added that this festival is an important step towards promoting Azerbaijani culture in the world.
The festival has been widely covered by the local and foreign media. The MP wished this festival to be held in Karabakh, Shusha soon. In his speech, one of the artistic directors of the festival, music director of “Kiev Virtuosi” Orchestra, conductor of the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, and well-known cellist Dmitry Yablonsky mentioned that the festival took place in thanks to the close assistance of Heydar Aliyev Foundation. D.Yablonsky expressed his gratitude to the President of the Foundation Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva on behalf of the festival participants. He brought to the attention that Azerbaijan always distinguishes with its musical culture. Heydar Aliyev Foundation is implementing a number of projects for the preservation and promotion of the musical heritage of our country. This music festival which has been annually held since 2009 draws great attention in our country and beyond its borders. From July 29 to August 3, the ancient city Gabala has successfully hosted the international music festival, a grand project of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
At the end, the stage was given to the Azerbaijan State Symphony Orchestra. On the concert led by the world-known Italian conductor Roberto Molinelli, the orchestra has been accompanied by famous Lithuanian musician Nomeda Kazlaus (soprano) and Azar Rzazadeh (tenor) and Maharram Huseynov (baritone) who are currently majoring in music in Italy. Orchestra has demonstrated high virtuosity and individual style of performing, and made an invaluable impression on spectators. Immortal works by the composers R. Wagner, P.I. Tchaikovsky, G. Verdi, W.A. Mozart, R. Molinelli, I. Kalman have been performed at the concert of Azerbaijan State Symphony Orchestra distinguishing with its European-style performance. The last concert of the festival took place with attendance of more than thousand spectators and ended with a big round of applauses.
