Vanlalvavna Bavitlung, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to the Republic of Azerbaijan, visited the Gabala region.

On June 7, Vanlalvavna Bavitlung, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to the Republic of Azerbaijan, visited the Gabala region. Within the framework of familiarization with the region, the plenipotentiary ambassador met with the Head of the Region Executive Power Sabuhi Abdullayev in the administrative building of the Gabala Region Executive Power. The Head of the REP informed the ambassador in detail about the history, economy, social and cultural life of the region. It was noted that positive results were achieved in the region as a result of large-scale measures taken by President Ilham Aliyev in the direction of agricultural development, which forms the basis of the economy, namely, horticulture, viticulture, vegetable growing, tobacco growing, cocoon farming and animal husbandry. Stating that the region is rich in amazing beauty and hospitality, Sabuhi Abdullayev stressed that products manufactured in Gabala at modern-type enterprises are exported to many countries of the world. It was noted that the tourist potential of the region is not overlooked, and positive progress has been made in the development of local and foreign tourism in an amazing region with ancient history. Noting that this is his first visit to Gabala, the diplomat said that the region made a big impression on him. Expressing gratitude for the warm welcome and hospitality, Ambassador Bavitlung Vanlalvavna spoke about the positive results of bilateral cooperation between India and Azerbaijan. Ambassador was interested in measures taken in connection with the potential of the region in the field of agriculture, science, education and tourism. During the meeting, issues of bilateral cooperation were discussed, an exchange of views took place. During the visit, Bavitlung Vanlalvavna got acquainted with the historical and cultural sights, sports and recreation complexes and industrial enterprises of the region.
