A grand evening of chamber music at the Gabala International Music Festival.

The last chords have already been played at the XI Gabala International Music Festival, which started on July 31. According to the program, on the last day of the festival, in the evening of August 5, another chamber concert was presented to music lovers in the Heydar Aliyev Congress Centre. In the first part of the concert, which consists of two parts, the audience heard the works of F.Mendelssohn and I.Brahms performed by the world-famous pianist Oksana Yablonskaya, cellist Zhanna Gandelman, pianist Murad Adigozalzade and artistic director of the XI Gabala International Music Festival, the famous cellist Dmitriy Yablonskiy. In the second part of the concert, the Turkish Trio Mirakulum performed with an extensive program. Initially, one of the creators of the trio, pianist Aytaj Rzagulieva briefly talked about the activities of the group and the works to be performed. She said that Trio Miraculum was created in 2018 on the initiative of violinist Mert Ozkan and the pianist herself. Translated from English, the word ‘miraculum’ means ‘miracle.’ One of the creators of the trio Aytaj Rzaguliyev was born in Baku. The pianist who graduated from the P.Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory, participated in masterclasses of such famous musicians as L.Filatova, F.Badalbayli, J.Garayev, Y.Milshtein, P.Messner. She performed with concert programs in Azerbaijan, Russia, Turkey, Portugal and other countries. At present, Aitaj Rzaguliyeva gives piano and music lessons at the University of Marmara, performs with concerts, seminars and masterclasses. The group also includes musicians from Turkey: violinist Dogu Kaptaner and cellist Firat Semercioglu. The concert included works by D.Shostakovich, G.Svirdov, G.Garaev, A.Piazolla, I.Mirzayev and O.Balchi. The audience greeted the musicians with a standing ovation.
