In the new 2019-2020 academic year, 68 secondary schools will operate in the Gabala region, including 54 full secondary, 11 general secondary, 3 primary and 2 preschool institutions. Currently, all educational institutions are prepared for the new school year. The existing technical condition of educational institutions, textbooks and teaching equipment, uninterrupted heating of school buildings and fuel supply were monitored, and appropriate measures were taken to eliminate shortcomings and malfunctions. In July, the Ministry of Education issued 38,610 copies of textbooks and teaching aids for teachers of 151 titles to provide students with textbooks to prepare schools for the new school year and improve the quality of education. Currently, the process of delivering textbooks to schools is ongoing. Particular attention is paid to strengthening the material and technical base of schools in the region, the construction of new school buildings and additional classrooms, major and ongoing repairs. Thus, work is underway on the construction of a new 360-seat building for a full secondary school No. 2 in Vandam settlement, and work is being completed in new school buildings of a modular type for a full secondary school in Garadein village for 80 students and an elementary school in Shafili village for 20 students. In addition, a certain part of the secondary school of Khamzali village and the building of the full secondary school of Mammadagali village were overhauled, and the roofs of the full secondary schools of Mykhlygovag village and Zaragan village number 1, which have expired, were replaced with the new ones. All schools in the region are undergoing ongoing repairs.
