The “Flag March” was held on the occasion of National Flag Day.
In connection with the "November 9 - Day of the National Flag of the Republic of Azerbaijan", a prominent march was organized by the Executive Power of the Gabala region and the Gabala district department of youth and sports. The main goal of the march is the promotion of our national attributes, especially the flag, the introduction of a sense of patriotism and national moral values among young people. The procession, which was attended by up to 500 teenagers and youths, began from monument to national leader Heydar Aliyev and continued until the Complex of Martyrs Alley. The memory of the martyrs was honored with a minute of silence, and the march participants were congratulated on the holiday. Opening the event with an opening speech, the head of the Gabala district Youth and Sports Department, Fakhri Soltanov, said that our three-color flag reminds the world, as well as our friends and enemies, about our existence and our strength. The head of the department noted the special role of the “Flag March”, initiated by the executive branch of the Gabala region and the Youth and Sports Department of the Gabala region, in educating young people in the spirit of respect and commitment to national values. Then, the head of the Gabala district education department Arifa Bayramova, the director of the Gabala state center of vocational training Namig Muradov, the executive officer of the region Azer Shirinov, the director of the Gabala center for vocational training in the tourism and hotel industry Eyvaz Kazimov made speeches and highlighted the importance of holding such an event, congratulated the youth, noting that this contributes to the development of love and respect for state symbols, our flag.
