Another awareness raising event on the harmful effects of drugs was organized in Gabala.
The next educational event related to the implementation of the relevant clauses of the “State program to combat illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors for 2019–2024” was organized at the Gabala State Vocational Education Center. This event, which was jointly organized by the Commission’s Working Group and the Gabala Region Executive Power, provided detailed information on the harmful effects of drugs on the human body, prevention of harm to society and human health and the resulting social disasters, the spread of AIDS and several other infectious diseases. At the same time, recommendations were made on involving the public and religious leaders in such events and expanding contacts between municipalities, police, education, labor collectives and relevant commissions. Also, answers were given to the questions the event participants are interested into, and discussions were held. Methodical assistance was provided to the region commission and the necessary visual aids were presented.
