The President Ilham Aliyev: "Our people experiences the most glorious moments of the history."

On the eighth day of the provocation committed by Armenia against Azerbaijan, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan addressed the people. Our army rapidly moves forward with success, full of the victories. Raging for this reason, Armenian invaders strike at civilian population of Azerbaijan, civilians, and their residences with heavy artillery. Thus, the aggressor country wants to expand the territory of the combat front, irritating our army, to provoke the opening of retaliatory fire and attract third state to this conflict. However, Azerbaijan fights for just cause in the way of truth. Azerbaijan has never infringed on someone else's land. Azerbaijan only wants to return the lands that historically belong to it. Armenia once again calls on our country to negotiate. However, the head of state will never go to such meaningless negotiations. Since ongoing negotiations and their format have always actually served to freeze the conflict. Azerbaijan fights to restore its territorial integrity. Our soldiers and officers show heroism on the battlefield, deal crushing blows to the enemy, show them their place, drive the enemy from our lands. This glorious mission will take its place in history. Today, new, glorious history of our people and state is being built. Historical justice is being restored. Since Karabakh land is our native historical land. Azerbaijani people have lived, created and built on these lands for centuries. However, Armenian invaders have occupied our lands, destroyed and levelled all our historical, religious and cultural monuments with the land for almost 30 years. As the President, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, has repeatedly noted, all the mosques and cities destroyed by Armenians will be restored. Life will return to these regions. We will put an end to the attempts of Armenians to falsify the history and at the same time to erase historical and cultural heritage of Azerbaijani people by changing our historical names. Historical names of the settlements are currently being restored and will continue to be restored. We fight on our own land. Territorial integrity of our country is being restored, and we are in the way of truth. Our soldiers are the saviours. Since they liberate their native lands from the invaders. Today, new lines are being added to the chronicle of the victory of Azerbaijani people. The liberation of Jabrayil city and nine villages of Jabrayil region from the occupation is one of the bright pages of the chronicle of the victory of Azerbaijani people. All our soldiers and officers who took an active part in the liberation of Jabrayil region and other occupied territories are heroes. As a result of their courage, our native lands are returned to us. Jojug Marjanli village in Jabrayil region was liberated from the occupation four years ago, and the reconstruction of this village was started. The heights released as a result of successful operation allowed the residents to return to Jojug Marjanli village of Jabrayil region. Beautiful village was built here. The liberation of Jojug Marjanli shows that Azerbaijani people will never accept the occupation, and our return to other occupied lands started namely from Jojug Marjanli. Today, the liberation of most of Jabrayil region and Jabrayil city is of particular importance. The people of Jabrayil region are delighted. Our ancient settlement – Sugovushan village was liberated from the occupation yesterday, and its historical name was restored. The superiority of the forces is now on the side of Azerbaijan, and the people's grief will come to end. Due to the forces of our army, historical justice will soon be restored, and all the lands will be returned to the people. Aggressive self-interest of Armenia will put an end to them. Aggressive self-interest provokes Armenian government to even greater stupidity. This policy is a threat to Armenian statehood. The people of Armenia suffer from the silly intentions of their political leadership. The Prime Minister of Armenia expresses silly thoughts, falsifies history, deceives his people and international community. A year ago, when he said "Karabakh is Armenia and the point", he struck a blow to the entire negotiation process and made them meaningless. False accusations are being made against Azerbaijan, and some European countries are accusing us. There is no basis for these accusations. Nagorno-Karabakh is ours, it is our land, we must return there, we do it and we will continue to do so. Azerbaijan has always been a supporter of fair negotiations. Azerbaijan, which uses international law, has used diplomatic methods throughout the conflict and is ready to negotiate. The fact that the Parliament of fictional "Nagorno-Karabakh Republic" was moved to Shusha is an attempt to offend Azerbaijani people. They are already getting decent response for such provocations. The flag of Azerbaijan flies on the lands that were liberated from the occupation. Therefore, Armenian leadership should think carefully and make right conclusions before it is too late. The defenders of Armenia, foreign countries call the President of the country, make a request. They ask what are the plans, conditions, and proposals for the war. Mr. President has only one condition: "Let Armenian army leave our lands. Then the confrontation will stop. But not in words, but in action. Let him say that he recognizes territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, as it is fixed in the basic principles. Let him say that he will withdraw his troops from occupied lands, as it is fixed in the basic principles. Let him say that he apologizes to Azerbaijani people and let him say that Karabakh is not Armenia. The last condition is that he should provide us with schedule for the withdrawal of Armenian armed forces from occupied territories. Of course, then we will restore the ceasefire. The liberation of Jabrayil from the occupation should be a lesson for Armenia and its defenders. Armenia should draw conclusions from this lesson and refrain from the provocations". At the end of the address, the president of the country emphasized once again: "Our people experiences the most glorious moments of the history. Our territorial integrity will be restored, and the hopes of Azerbaijan will be justified. We are on the side of the justice. Azerbaijani people are ancient people. There have been many glorious moments, events, and victories in our history. Today's events occupy special place among them. We restore the justice and our territorial integrity. We are right, our people will definitely win. Karabakh is ours, Karabakh is Azerbaijan! "
