Today is the birthday of General Polad Hashimov, National Hero of Azerbaijan.
On January 2, 2021 the memorial ceremony was held in hometown Vandam settlement on the occasion of the birthday of General Polad Hashimov, National Hero of Azerbaijan. Executives of Gabala district Executive Power, law-enforcement agencies and other state bodies, comrades-in-arms and family members of the martyr, as well as representatives of the district and settlement community attended at the memorial ceremony. In the event Ilham Baghirov, representative of Vandam settlement administrative territorial division, Rashad Ahmadov, teacher of Vandam settlement secondary school No. 1 made a speech and spoke about the life, battle story of the hero and victory of our Army in 44-days Patriotic War. Moreover, one of his family members Babak Samadov made a speech and thanked the leadership and organizators of the event. Those who made a speech in the event expressed their gratitude to Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan for great victory achieved in the Patriotic War and for naming our heroic martyr "National Hero of Azerbaijan". In the end, prayers were recited to the memory of the martyr.
