Gabala hosted II Regional Conference on ICT.
Gabala Regional ASAN Service Centre hosted II Regional Conference on Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) for schoolgirls. During the conference supported by the Ministry of Education, State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Gilan Holding and organized by Azerbaijani Women in ICT Club – FEMMES DIGITALES (AWIC), the heads and female representatives of the country's leading companies and enterprises made presentations on information and communication technologies, talked about their success stories and shared their best practices to encourage the girls on this sphere. Women specialists spoke about prospects of education in ICT and they talked about this with young girls. Representatives of B.EST Solutions, being the member of Femmes Digitales Club, ASAN Service, MONT, Cybernet, Azertelecom, Ultra Technologies and other organizations who made a speech at the event held to raise interest in information and communication technologies among girls, spoke about the role of ICT in all spheres of society's life, talked about the opportunities for education and career of the Azerbaijani women in this field. The main purpose of the event is to increase the number of schoolgirls in field of ICT, to help in promoting and selecting ICT as a field for building future career and preparing potential personnel among the females living and studying in the region. Under the program, the winners of the contest The Best Idea for IT Startup held among girls were presented certificates, cups and gifts.
