Gabala pupils will be closely acquainted with the western regions of our republic within the framework of a tour campaign.

The sendoff ceremony for the Gabala region pupils to Ganja city, Shamkir and Goygol regions took place on March 26 within the framework of the project “Learning Our Country” organized for the students of IX-XI classes of the cities and regions of our republic. Making a speech at the sendoff ceremony arranged at Heydar Aliyev Park in Gabala city, Deputy Head of the region Executive Power Ataya Osmanova mentioned the importance of the campaign organized in accordance with the task of the Head of State. It was noted that one of the main purposes of the state youth policy carried out in Azerbaijan is the young generation to be brought up in a patriotic spirit. Along with this, the pupils will be closely familiar with the achievements obtained in socio-economic field and the construction-renovation works in each regions of the country. This is the aim for which the enlightening tour-campaigns held under the motto of “Learning Our Country” serves. At the ceremony, Head of the region Educational Department Arifa Bayramova made a speech and brought to the attention that the implementation of the project has a significant role in upbringing the country’s young generation in a spirit of patriotism and respect to our historical and cultural heritage, in close acquaintance of pupils with the country, and in enrichment of their view of life. The IX grade student of Nohurgishlag village full secondary school Maleyka Abishova made a speech during the meeting and said that she had been to several regions of the republic. “And it is for the first time that I will be familiar with the nature, sights, historical places and the touristic facilities of Ganja city, Shamkir and Goygol regions together with my fellow students. We will collect rich information about the history, traditions and development of our country during the trip. For this, I thank the organizers of the tour-campaign”. Afterwards, 40 participants of the tour-campaign laid flowers at the monument of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev. A headquarter has been established by the region Executive Power for organization of the enlightening tour-campaign. Head of Information Supply and Analysis Sector of the region Executive Power Zahir Karimov has been designated leader to the group, and special clothes have been distributed to the students. In the end, the students participating in the tour-campaign set off by buss towards Ganja.
