The board meeting was held under Gabala Region Executive Power on well- organized conduction and optimal completion of grain harvest for 2014
REPH Sabuhi Abdullayev who opened the board meeting provided information regarding the forthcoming tasks during the mowing period. It was mentioned that, one of the main tasks in this period is to strictly comply with fire safety. Mr. Sabuhi Abdullayev who gave necessary instructions related to the well organization of harvest brought to the attention that necessary assistances will be provided to the farm enterprise owners of the region associated with the challenges that they encountered. Afterwards, Deputy Head of Agricultual Department of REPH Rahib Ahmadov who made a speech around the subject pointed out that, grain-growing forms the basis of region’s economy.
He stated that 18730 hectares of grain planted in 25030 hectares area in 2014 are wheat, 6300 hectares are barley fields.
It was pointed out that, this year’s climatic condition was not so favourable and this caused the damage in region’s 2500 hectare grain fields. Harvest is not expected from 1200 hectares of that fields. Productivity will be lower in the same fields due to the serious damage to the grain field more than 2000 hectares which caused by drought.
It was mentioned that, the working group was set up, specialist tips were provided to individuals and legal entities engaged in grain-growing to hold well -organized grain harvest campaign for 2014, protect the fields from fire safety and at the same time to provide the completion of harvest campaign in optimal period. In his speech, the speaker stated that, new combines were brought to the region by agroleasing line and existing combines were lead to the status or readiness for grain harvest.
In the end, by re-emphasizing the well-organized conduction of grain harvest campaign REPH gave appropriate instructions in the direction of operative payment of state compensations paid to the farmers.
