Gabala celebrated the 28th of May - Republic Day.
The festive event, held at the Cultural Center of Gabala region, was attended by the governing body of the district, the staff of departments, enterprises and organizations, numerous public members.
During the event, the audience was told about the creation of the first in the east the Parliamentary Azerbaijan Democratic Republic on 28th May, 1918 and its existence for the period of 23 months, the fall of the republic under the blows of the 11th army of Bolsheviks on April 28th, 1920, but no matter what, non- extinction of the torch of liberty in the heart of our people and the restoration of its independence on october 18 th, 1991. There were also words about Azerbaijan today being among the developed countries of the world, as an equal member of the international organizations, as a result of a successful and strong policy implemented by the head of state, Mr. Ilham Aliyev.
Literary - artistic composition prepared by the District Department of Culture and Tourism on the occasion of the celebration, was continued with the colourful performances of the artists.
