In Gabala, a new forest orchard-agricultural garden, consisting of fruit trees, was laid on a 32.3 hectare plot.
Protection and restoration of forests are constantly in the center of attention in the Gabala region, the works on the cultivation of new seedlings and the laying of forests, as well as fruit gardens are continuing successfully. On the lands of the forest fund of the region, the laying of new orchards consisting of fruit trees was started. When laying the orchards, the trees grown in the seed-plot of the enterprise are used. In accordance with the plan, in the spring season, a site of a forest orchard-agricultural garden was laid on an area of 32.3 hectares on the lands of the state forest fund in the territory of the forestries of Vandam, Bum, Yenikend and Zaragan. Of them, 15.5 hectares is a garden for planting hazelnuts, 7.3 hectares for chestnuts, 8.7 hectares for walnuts and 0.8 hectares for apple trees. Thus, the lands of the state forest fund under the Forest Protection and Recovery Enterprise of Gabala Region were significantly expanded, and their area was brought up to 33 thousand 400 hectares.
