The winners of the trench competitions of the International Grand Prix competitions on trap shooting, dedicated to the 95th anniversary of Heydar Aliyev, became known.
With the organization of the "Gabala" Shooting Club and the support of the Azerbaijan Shooting Federation and the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the final stage of the trench competitions of the International Grand Prix on trap shooting, dedicated to the 95th anniversary of Heydar Aliyev, was held in Bum village of the region. In the competitions among men, the famous stand shooter, the Olympic champion from Russia Alexey Alipov won a gold medal with 47 points, the Azerbaijani athlete Tamerlan Mammadov won a silver medal with 46 points, the shooter from Russia Alexey Gulyaev won a bronze medal with 36 points. In this competition Ali Huseynli took the 5th place. And in competitions among women Natalya Zvyagintseva from Russia took first place, Azerbaijan shooter Aydan Jamalova - second place, shooter from Ukraine Alyona Ahotska - third place. And in the final competitions among youth, Azerbaijani athletes have surpassed rivals from other countries. So, Sabir Mehdizade took first place, Mirmomin Aghazade - the second one, Vagif Mammadov - the third one. Then the awarding ceremony took place. Medals were awarded to the athletes by Sabuhi Abdullayev, the Head of the Gabala Region Executive Power, and Zemfira Meftahatdinova, the Olympic champion in trap shooting. 70 athletes from Azerbaijan, Turkey, Georgia, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Russia, Iran, UAE and Bahrain take part in the competition. Azerbaijan in this authoritative competition is represented by 26 athletes.
