"Graduation day" in Gabala
On June 14, at 68 schools in Gabala region, "Graduation day" ceremonies were held. At the ceremonies, the last bell of school life and the first bell of independent life rang for 1188 graduates. Senior officials of the department of education of the region's executive power, teachers and parents participated at the parties organized for 11th grade students. It was said at "the last bell" ceremonies that the students who finished the region's schools took place at the top levels for admission to universities within the republic. The students are required to be more determined in order to increase that achievement. The first and eleventh grade students presented to each other flower bouquets and gifts. It should be reminded that last year 1276 students finished secondary schools of the region, of which 486 students were admitted to universities, 36 students gained over 600 points in the admission tests. Large-scale work is performed for improving the quality of education in the region and bringing the educational infrastructure to conformity with modern standards. Currently, a complete secondary school in Garadeyn village with the capacity of 80 students, a general secondary school with the capacity of 80 student in Laza village, primary schools in Zargarli and Shafli villages with the capacity of 56 and 20 students respectively are constructed, the project design work for the construction of a new complete secondary school in Vandam city with the capacity of 360 students is in the process.
