The International tournament and Nationwide Championship have started in Gabala.
VI “Young rescuer” International tournament and final stage of VII “Young rescuer and firefighter” Nationwide championship have started in Gabala. The events are held under organization of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, with support of Trade Union of employees of Ministry of Emergency Situations and ministries of education, youth and sport. Event attendees came to the Alley of Honor in Baku on June 24, visited the grave of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and put flower tribute before the monument. Then they visited the graves of our sons and daughter who died for freedom and territorial integrity of our native land, in Martyrs' Alley. Opening ceremony of VI “Young rescuer” International tournament and VII “Young rescuer and firefighter” Nationwide championship was held on June 25 in Gabala. Emphasizing the importance of the tournaments organized, Faig Taghi-zade, Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations, medical service Lieutenant-General spoke about necessity of holding such competitions and wished luck to the event attendees. Colonel Mahbuba Mustafayeva, Deputy Chief of the Public Relations Department of MES, has noted that these tournaments play important role in getting new experiences in emergency response by the teenagers and youth. Then the tournaments have started. We must note that “Young rescuer and firefighter” Nationwide championship has been organized for the 7th time and the purpose of holding tournaments is to increase level of emergency response of teenagers and youth, promote healthy living among schoolchildren and instill sense of being responsibility for individual and social security and military-patriotism. The tournament is organized in 3 stages- region (city), zone and nationwide stages. The teams that have gained a victory in zone tournaments will participate in final nationwide tournaments. In this Nationwide championship the teams from 10 regions and cities will tourney for the first place. Teams of Azerbaijan, Turkey, Russia, Belarus, Pakistan, Georgia, Romania and Kazakhstan will take part in VI “Young rescuers” International tournament. The delegation of Republic of Moldova will watch the tournament as guest. The competitions will go on till July 1.
