The program of the Gabala International Music Festival was announced.

Gabala International Music Festival, which became the most important event in the life of classical music of Azerbaijan and the region, celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. The festival, organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and "Gilan Holding", will be held in Gabala from July 30 to August 7. The festival, taking place surrounded by mountains covered with dense forest, is an ideal choice for both fans of classical music, and for those who want to relax from the city's heat and spend the whole week in the fresh air. The opening ceremony of the festival will be held on July 31, 2018. The festival will be attended by prominent musicians, soloists, conductors from Azerbaijan and foreign countries. The world-famous conductors and musicians of Russia, Israel, USA, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, Turkey will take part in the festival - Oksana Yablonskaya, Dmitry Yablonsky, Janna Gandelman, Annel Gregory, Olga Ermakova, Eduard Wolfson, Nora Romanoff-Schwarzberg, Tomer Lev, Mine Kurtoğlu, Mikhail Khokhlov, Salvador Broughons and others will take part in the festival. The Azerbaijan State Symphonic Orchestra named after U.Hajibayov, the youth chamber orchestra of the Baku Musical Academy named after U.Hajibayov "Baku Chamber Orchestra", the Student Symphony Orchestra of the Baku Musical Academy named after U.Hajibayov, "Gaytagy" ensemble, "Clarte" quartet of clarinets, "Furioso" quartet, Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, "Jovenes Clasicos del Son" instrumental band (Cuba), "Tbilisi Big Band" orchestra (Georgia), "Gypsy Band" (Budapest), people’s artists Farhad Badalbeyli, Murad Adigozalzade, Yagana Akhundova, Shukur Samadov, Enver Sadikhov, Samir Jafarov, Honored artists Fuad Ibrahimov, Alexey Miltikh, Sahib Pashazade, Chinara Heydarova, Emil Afrasiyab, laureates of international contests Saida Taghizade, Narmin Najafli, Javad Taghizade, Maharram Huseynov, Mahir Taghizade, Taleh Yahyaev, Ziba Rajabli, Togrul Huseynli, Vurgun Vakilov, talented young soloists, mugham performers and others will perform during the concerts to be held within the festival. The festival will feature talented musicians and participants of the "Support for Youth" project organized by People's Artist of the Azerbaijan Republic, director of the Azerbaijan State Academic Philharmonic named after M. Magomayev, Murad Adigozalzade, and supported by the national artist, art director of the festival, Farhad Badalbeyli. This year the festival will be remembered by another significant event. So, this year the 100th anniversary of the birthday of the Great Azerbaijani composer Gara Garayev is celebrated. Paying tribute to the memory of the composer, his immortal works will be performed within the framework of the festival. The guests will remember this year's festival, which will feature an interesting and diverse music program, as one of the significant pages in the history of Azerbaijani musical culture.
