The works of Mozart, Prokofiev and Chopin were played in Gabala Festival.

The X Gabala International Music Festival held under the organization of Heydar Aliyev Foundation and with the support of “Gilan Holding”, is going to end. The audience watched another concert program presented by Israel’s world famous Jerusalem Symphony orchestra in the evening on August 6. The founders of organizational bodies of the festival, local music lovers and guests of the city participated at the concert held in Gabala region Cultural Center. “Jupiter” work of W.A.Mozart was played by the orchestra at the beginning of the concert held with conducting of Russian Conductor Mikhail Khokhlov. Then the audience listened to Concert N3 for piano and orchestra of S.Prokofiev that was performed by the talented pianist, international competitions laureate, whose name was included in “Golden Book” of young talents of Azerbaijan and conferred to Presidential scholarship –Toghrul Huseynli, and accompanied by the orchestra. World-famous pianist Oxana Yablonskaya (Israel-USA) performed the work -Concert for piano and orchestra N2 of F.Chopin at the end of the concert. The performance of the symphony orchestra and soloists was acclaimed by the audience. We must say that this music collective created within Palestinian radio in 1930 is called as Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra since 1970. There are various works of Classic period and modern composers on the repertoire of the orchestra. For the first time the works of Sofia Gubaidulina, Henry Dutilleux, Alfred Schnittke and other famous composers were played by Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra. Mentionable performances of the legendary musicians of the music world- Igor Stravinsky, Artur Rubinstein, Otto Klemperer, Yehudi Menuhin, Mstislav Rostropovich, Isaac Stern, Pablo Casals and tens of other celebrities took place with this orchestra during decades. The orchestra is invited to international festivals held in different countries of the world every year. This collective supported by Ministry of Culture and Sport of Israel and Municipality of Jerusalem has been to concert tours in different cities of Europe and America, and performed in the most famous concert-halls of the world. The tenth Gabala International Music Festival will end on August 7. According to the program, at first fortepiano music night will be organized on the last day of the festival. The closing ceremony of the festival and last concert will be at 9:00 p.m.
