Agricultural workers celebrated their professional holiday.
The staff of the Gabala State Agrarian Development Center celebrated the professional holiday of the Day of Agricultural Workers held in our country every year on November 1 by a decree of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev dated on October 9, 2008. First, the participants laid flowers at the monument to national leader Heydar Aliyev and honored the loving memory of the great leader. Then an extensive festive event took place in the administrative building of the regional center for agrarian development. Speaking at the ceremony, the director of the center Rahib Ahmadov congratulated all the workers of the agricultural sector of the region on the Day of agricultural workers. He said that according to the instructions of President Ilham Aliyev, in recent years, in the agricultural sector, increased attention was paid to the development of strategic products, including those common for the Gabala region - silk growing, tobacco growing, fodder breeding and other income-generating areas of export and social orientation. Noting that as a result of the work done, the total volume of production in agriculture in our area has significantly increased in the first nine months of this year compared to the same period last year, the director of the center noted that as a result of the reforms carried out in the agricultural sector, livestock production and crop production grew, measures taken in the direction of agricultural production, yield positive results. Then the Deputy Head of the Gabala Region Executive Power, Arif Allahverdiyev, congratulated the participants on the Day of Agricultural Workers. In his speech, he told about the concern of President Ilham Aliyev regarding agricultural producers, the successes achieved and the challenges ahead. Noting that special attention is paid to the development of agriculture in the region, Arif Allahverdiyev said that work is constantly being conducted in the field of studying and applying best practices. In conclusion, a group of agricultural workers were awarded diplomas.
