Participants of the tour-action held under the slogan of “Let’s know our country” from 10 regions began to get acquainted with Gabala.
The groups consisting of the pupils who go one a trip on the route of Gabala-Shaki-Zagatala from the schools of 10 regions came to Gabala city on November 18 at midday within the next phase of the educational tour action held under the slogan of “Let’s know our country” in accordance with recommendation of President Ilham Aliyev. The pupils who stayed in “Karvansaray” and “Qafqaz Sport” hotels, of Aghdash, Fuzuli, Goygol, Siyazan, Tovuz, Guba, Gusar, Shabran, Khachmaz and Khizi regions began to get acquainted with Gabala region after dinner. The pupils participated in the tree-planting campaign in the territory of Zarifa Aliyeva Avenue in Gabala city and on the bank of Damiraparan river. The tour action participants’ first acquaintance with the places of interests of Gabala began with excursion to the zoo in Yengija village. The pupils were given information about the animals kept in here. Then the pupils visited Nohur lake that is one of the most famous recreational places of the region. It was informed that the edges of Nohur lake located in 700 meters height above sea level were surrounded with dense forest and maintains. The depth of the lake of which area is 240 ha is 24 meters and the volume of its water is 16 million m3. Damiraparan and Vandam rivers flow into Nohur lake. On the next days of the excursion the pupils will be acquainted with the historical places of Gabala region and walk in its places of interest.
