The pupils who visited the north region under the slogan of “Let’s know our country” returned to Gabala region favorably impressed.

A group of the pupils of Gabala who visited the north region under the slogan of “Let’s know our country” in accordance with the task of President of Azerbaijan Republic Mr Ilham Aliyev continued to become acquainted with Guba region on November 18. The pupils were in Juma mosque, Guba Genocide Memorial Complex, Guba Carpet Weaving Workshop and Taghli (arch) bridge and walked through the city. While being in Guba Genocide Memorial Complex, the pupils were informed that Armenian vandals killed more than 10 thousand innocent countrymen just in Guba in March-April months of 1918. On that day the pupils of Gabala were in Girmizi settlement where mountain Jews live compactly in Guba region. In this settlement the Azerbaijani, Lezghins and representatives of other nations live together with Jews in an atmosphere of mutual respect to one-another’s traditions, culture, language and religion for a long years. Girmizi settlement highly developed like other residential places of Guba region. Within the visit the pupils attended “Rixos” Guba hotel complex and Golf course. The visit of the pupils of Gabala to Khachmaz became memorable, as well. Our pupils were met solemnly in Khachmaz city on November 21 and visited firstly the monument of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev. The participants of the tour-action were informed that Khachmaz region is one of the cities that have extensive tourism opportunities. Here is named the city of parks and museums. After becoming acquainted with Heydar Aliyev Centre, the pupils came to Museum of Personalities. Busts of prominent poets and writers, people of culture and art of Azerbaijan were put in this museum. The participants of the excursion were given detailed information about this museum established in the open air. After attending to regional history and ethnography museum, carpet museum and art gallery, the pupils of Gabala walked through in “Chanlibel” park. Tree-planting campaign was held in the yard of “Jannat baghi” Recreation Centre within the tour-action. The pupils planted the fruit trees that they brought from Gabala region, in here. As usual in this visit our pupils distinguished with their model behaviors and attempts for achieving their targets relating to the tour-action, as well. That is why the group of the pupils of Gabala was awarded with Certificate of Appreciation by the management of Guba “Jannat baghi” Recreation Centre. In the “Certificate of Appreciation” directed to Gabala Region Executive Power and Regional Education Department the hospitality management expresses that they were satisfied with the behavior and intellectual level of the teachers and pupils of Gabala. It regards estimable the teachers’ seriousness, discipline and control level over the pupils. They thanked Regional Executive Power and Education Department because of the adequate choice of the team composition. In the end the participants of the tour-action left favorably impressed Guba-Gusar-Khachmaz region and returned to Gabala.
