Judo tournament was held in Gabala.
District Department of Youth and Sport together with "Gabala" Sports Club held an open regional judo tournament among adolescents, dedicated to National Salvation Day - June 15th. The tournament was organized on June 15th, 2014 in Gabala Olympic Sports Complex. The event was attended by 190 athletes of 17 teams from 15 cities and regions of the Republic.
The aim of the competition consists of increasing involvement in sports in the area, the development of competitive experience and skill of adolescent and young athletes, making wide propaganda of judo among adolescents.
In conclusion of the open judo tournament of Gabala region, according to the number of medals the Baku "Tahsil" club was awarded the 1st place, Gabala sports club - the 2nd place and the 3rd place to the team from Zaqatala. The winners (who took the 1,2,3 places) in each weight class were awarded a diploma and a medal, taking 1st place got cups, and team coaches got presents.
