Natural gas is supplied to Mykhlygovag and Kotuklu villages.

On December 6, the supply of natural gas to Mykhlygovag and Kotuklu villages started. The grand opening ceremony of the gas pipeline was attended by the Head of the Gabala Region Executive Power Sabuhi Abdullayev, the Regional Director of the Directorate of "Azerigaz" Production Association Gurban Mehdiyev, the heads of law enforcement agencies, official organizations, the community of Mykhlygovag and Kotuklu. The head of REP, who attended the ceremony, congratulated the villagers on the occasion of this remarkable event, spoke about the targeted measures taken in recent years throughout the region, in the direction of the reconstruction of the gas supply system, the gasification of settlements and villages. It was noted that this project, carried out within the framework of the "State Program on the Socio-Economic Development of Regions of the Azerbaijan Republic", founded by Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and successfully continued today by President Ilham Aliyev, serves the convenience and prosperity of the residents of Gabala, entering a qualitatively new stage of development, and each resident of Gabala reaps the fruits of this development in the daily life. It was brought to the attention that thanks to the help and care of the head of state, the region has gone a long way in development in recent years, has become an international center of culture and tourism. The construction and commissioning of modern educational institutions, tourism and recreation centers, sports facilities, asphalt roads, bridges, industrial enterprises and other social facilities, their reconstruction against the background of the synthesis of antiquity and modernity in Gabala were mentioned. The speaker said that, on the initiative and with the organization of the First Vice-President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mehriban Aliyeva, international music festivals and art exhibitions are held in Gabala every year, famous musicians, music bands and famous artists come here from all over the world, they turn into a real celebration of culture and friendship. It was noted that the gasification of Mykhlygovag and Kotuklu villages, which started on May 3 of this year and the construction of which was completed in a short time - on October 30, is one of such projects as a continuation of the construction work carried out in the region. Based on a single-stage system, carriers and intra-quarter gas pipelines — 119 535 meters of polyethylene and metal pipes of various diameters — were laid out on the territory; meters and individual regulators were installed for 1082 subscribers. The event was addressed by the Head of the Regional office of the "Azerigaz" Production Association Gurban Mehdiyev, a resident of Mykhlygovag village Maarif Ismayilov, the elder Tahir Gafarov and others. In their speeches, the speakers expressed their deep appreciation to President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva for the care provided in the repair and reconstruction carried out in the Gabala city and its settlements, including laying of a new asphalt road to Mykhlygovag and Kotuklu villages, renewal of communication lines and power supply, drilling of new artesian wells and supplying “blue fuel” to the territory. In conclusion, Sabuhi Abdullayev and Gurban Mehdiyev lit a symbolic opening torch.
